Vice President I, Counterparty Credit Risk Analysis

Were seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Counterparty Credit Data team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, or Lake Mary, FL in a Hybrid work environment.

About the team:

The Counterparty Credit Risk Data and Controls team is a team of investigators, problem-solvers, and data experts within DART (Data, Analytics, Reporting and Transformation) in our Risk and Compliance function. On a daily basis, we develop, manage, and produce reports, work closely with our partners in Counterparty Credit, Risk Modeling, Technology, and Operations. From these reports, we will validate key metrics; investigate issues; and coordinate resolution.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our end to end Counterparty Credit Risk reporting process by performing daily reporting functions such as quality control checks, diagnosing reporting issues, and coordinating resolution
  • This role will become a SME and key support for the new US Fed Weekly Counterparty Credit Risk report
  • Work closely with our partners in Counterparty Credit Risk to review reports and key metrics, generate key materials for various committees meetings and presentations
  • Using your knowledge in Counterparty Credit Risk, identify gaps in our current process and help build and design resolution to address these gaps
  • Provide business requirements to be implemented by Technology
  • Participate in our risk engine migration testing
  • Partner with the business to help them achieve their objectives within the Risk Appetite of the firm. Assist

To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

  • 3 years of experience in credit risk, front office, or 1LOD risk preferred,
  • Background in math, statistics, finance, economics, risk management, , or a similar field preferred.
  • Broad understanding of major financial instruments, mainly counterparty credit, and associated risks.
  • Take initiative to investigate problems independently and take ownership of outcomes
  • Highly detail oriented, organized, and analytical. Must be able to ensure reports are professional and sharp
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs to clear and concrete requirements for Technology to implement

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
