Requisition Id14525 Overview: The Nuclear Measurements and Analytical Services (NMAS) Group of the Nuclear and Radiological Protection Division (NRPD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) invites applications for the In Vivo Radiobioassay Laboratory Technician position to support the Nuclear and Radiological Measurements (NRM) team. Accredited by the Department of Energy Laboratory Accreditation Program (DOELAP) for personnel dosimetry, NRM provides whole body count, lung count, and wound count services to radiological workers at ORNL and other DOE prime contractors in Oak Ridge, TN. ORNL is the largest U.S. Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. The NRPD is responsible for partnering with operations and research staff to support the science mission while protecting staff from nuclear and radiological hazards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
