Role ResponsibilitiesThe Plant Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the P & L and overall growth of the plant. We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills, innovative by nature, a strong history of execution and excellent communication skills. This role leads a team of 80 employees with 5-8 direct reports and is accountable for achieving sales goals, production metrics, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and fostering a positive, safe and productive work environment. The Plant Manager reports directly to the VP of Operations. Strategic Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead plant-wide initiatives across departments-production, maintenance, quality, safety, logistics, and support functions. Build followership, set clear expectations, and develop your team through coaching and performance management. Inspire a collaborative, improvement-oriented culture with a clear line of sight to company goals. Act as a communication bridge between the plant floor and executive leadership. Operational ExcellenceOversee daily plant operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality. Monitor KPIs (production output, labor efficiency, on-time delivery, scrap rate) and drive corrective actions. Champion lean manufacturing and optimize processes to minimize waste and downtime. Safety & ComplianceFoster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. Lead safety audits, investigations, and continuous safety training initiatives. Financial & Budget OversightManage plant budget, analyze performance, and drive cost controls. Prepare capital expenditure proposals and support long-term financial planning. Quality & Continuous ImprovementEnsure consistent product quality and rapid response to customer and internal issues. Promote a plant-wide mindset of quality and innovation through standardization and root cause resolution. Continuously evaluate and enhance systems and workflows using lean tools and best practices. Requirements QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Management, Organizational Leadership, or related field 10+ years of plant/operations management experience Proven leadership across cross-functional teams Strong business acumen with financial and operational insight Effective communicator and motivator at all levels of the organization Skilled in manufacturing systems, data-driven decision-making, and team development |
