Job Summary
We are excited to announce that we have an opportunity for an intern to join the Medical Affairs Division this summer 2025.
*This position requires working onsite 3+ days per week in our Lake Zurich, Illinois office.
*U.S. work authorization required: Fresenius Kabi will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization.
*Pay rate is $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on completed academic years
*Fresenius Kabi does not provide a housing stipend or relocation assistance for summer internships.
Responsibilities
This position requires working onsite in Lake Zurich, Illinois3+ days per week.
- Assist the Medical Affairs team with support for in-development and approved products within therapeutic areas such as contrast agents, anti-infectives, anesthesia/analgesia, critical care, and oncology involving pre-marketing product business development and post-marketing strategies and approval requests.
- Support the Medical Affairs team in creating and managing the dissemination of medical information, researching core scientific literature regarding current and future pipeline products, addressing clinical applications, medical guidelines, and product safety to provide responses to external and internal customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality deliverables for approved products and products in development.
- Develop an understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and structure of a pharmaceutical company through shadowing various roles and departments, working on assigned projects as needed by the business, participating in Lunch N' Learn internal education, and attending Medical Affairs and cross-functional meetings.
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program.
- Completion of P1 year with a BS and/or hospital exposure or experience (injectable medications) or completion of P2 or above with preferred exposure or experience in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Acrobat Adobe.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preference with conducting literature searches and providing analysis.
Requirements
- Must commit to working 8-12 weeks this summer.
- Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program pursuing a related business field degree.
- Must have successfully completed at least one full year of college by June 2025 and planning to return to school at the end of the internship.
