We believe in nourishing the whole person, creating community through great food and programming, and doing what's right, every time. *We are Nourishing a Brighter Future.* Job Summary As a Catering and Community Engagement Manager with Flik Independent School Dining, you will lead our dynamic Catering Department at Miss Porter's School in Farmington, CT. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work in an extraordinary environment, crafting detailed service and leading all aspects of memorable culinary experiences. You will be responsible for training new associates, coordinating event set-ups, and leading all aspects of temporary personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises all catering events with a focus on quality improvement and outstanding client service. Leads logistics, sanitation, and facility-related activities for catering events. Collaborates with the Chef to build innovative menus that compete at a high level. Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service standards. Tracks and monitors labor and food costs, ensuring strict adherence to budgetary guidelines. Communicates effectively with management, clients, customers, and associates, maintaining excellent client relationships. Assumes responsibility for all foodservice-related activities, ensuring flawless execution. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year in a management role. Validated experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations. Catering experience is required. Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Strong financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills. Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet. ServSafe Certification is required. Apply to Flik today!
