Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
The Director, Treasury is responsible for the oversight and control of the Treasury function. This position will manage efficient cash utilization that supports and aligns with the Cooperative's long-term strategy. In addition to the typical responsibilities associated with managing the company's global treasury operations, the Treasurer will also have leadership responsibility for the Cooperative's grower finance team. Strong leadership and team development skills are a must.
A Day in the Life...
- Optimize capital structure, balancing cost and risk, while ensuring sufficient flexibility is available for long-term strategic activities.
- Initiate and oversee the execution of all debt and equity transactions and serve as the key contact point for investors/lenders and credit rating agencies.
- Manage all aspects of the company's cash flow, including the oversight of daily operations, maintaining banking relationships, developing cash flow forecasts, and ensuring availability of funds to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
- Expected emphasis to be given to continuous improvement (key routines, processes, reporting, policies, etc.), increasing levels of automation, and improving internal controls.
- Partner with broader finance team and company leadership to develop a financial vision and strategy that supports Ocean Spray's long-range plans.
- Develop annual operating plans, evaluating capital expenditures and all financing activities, ensuring adequate funding for key growth initiatives. Strategic thought leadership is expected.
- Ensure compliance with corporate hedging programs (e.g. FX, interest rates, commodities)
- Partner with legal team and Enterprise Risk Manager to drive the strategic risk management agenda for the Cooperative including the analysis, placement, and optimization of insurance coverage, along with the insurance broker relationship.
- Attract, and retain talent, with a focus towards developing treasury team's capabilities.
- Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Treasury activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
What We Are Looking For:
- 10+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics
- MBA, CTP, or CPA certified (preferred)
- Proven success in prior roles ideally in a senior treasury position within a global organization
- Demonstrated experience managing capital structure and in-depth knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization
- Independent thought-leader; self-motivated and self-directed work style
- Understanding of derivatives, hedging, investments, bank account management and international fund flows
- Analytical skills (including modelling), and attention to details
- Understanding of strategic risk management including insurance programs
- Experience with treasury management systems; Treasury Workstation knowledge a plus
Education: Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
Master's Degree (Preferred)
