Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Mailman School of Public Health: Center for Infection and Immunity Location 02 Open Date Aug 16, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade 180, 000 - 210,000 a year, FAC Description The Center for Infection and Immunity is recruiting a faculty member at the Research Scientist level to join a program in pandemic preparedness focused on viral ecology and pathogenesis through studies of animal reservoirs and vectors. Candidates must have a track record of substantive productivity in One Health/emerging infectious disease research as manifest in publications and competitive grant support. Responsibilities Candidates will demonstrate creativity and originality and be able to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary scientific teams and produce new connections, knowledge, and impact within and beyond those in the department, the school, and Columbia University. Qualifications MD, DVM or PhD with postdoctoral training in viral ecology and One Health. The candidate must have an established record of leading extramurally funded research projects in low and middle income countries, as is clear description of the impact that a candidate's research, teaching, and service will have on the public's health. The individual should be competitive for a position at the level of associate professor in a school of public health.
