The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with and be responsible for the development and management of financial and revenue analyses to evaluate the operational needs and trends of Radiology outpatient off-site activities. The Senior Financial Analyst will maintain, develop, and manage reports. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with the Associate Director of Finance to provide financial and budgetary inputs for the preparation of budgets and business plans.

Responsibilities



  • Extract, analyze, and prepare financial data from systems (e.g., ARC, Cognos, Epic) to generate reports on revenues, expenses, and variances.
  • Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
  • Analyze financial results for JV business units, explaining performance trends and variances against budget. Assist in evaluating quarterly budgets and recommend adjustments based on financial performance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with key financial metrics.
  • Assist in the annual operating and payroll budgeting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational budgets for outpatient activities.
  • Work with the Revenue Cycle team to prepare and analyze revenue cycle reports, comparing projected to actual revenues.
  • Identify appropriate staffing ratios, expenses, and volume projections for strategic business plans.
  • Collaborate with various departments to prepare ad-hoc financial and clinical reports for informed decision-making.
  • Support the preparation of annual internal, external, and regulatory financial audits.
  • Assist with cost reporting for joint ventures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile compensation plans to ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
