The RoleThe Principal Accountant position is an integral part of the GL team tasked with accounting for the Company's domestic and international operations according to US GAAP. The GL team functions under a centralized global shared services concept. Primary responsibilities are to ensure the accurate and timely recording of transfer pricing and various intercompany transactions, which also include, but are not limited to, the review and preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets, accounts payable and accruals. This position will act as an interface with other departments within the Company to understand and proactively review, analyze and reconcile various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Your Impact
  • Manage transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
  • Review and prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Actas a business partner with other departments to ensure periodic activities are timely and accurately recorded.
  • Monitor, analyze and provide flux commentary for balance sheet and income statement accounts, including detailed understanding of foreign currency exposure and accounting.
  • Identify and incorporate system reporting improvements to generate efficiencies in the monthly close process.
  • Assist in preparation of schedules, analysis and narratives for internal and external auditors, including management reporting.
  • Documentpolicies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or higher.
  • 8+ years of relevant GL accounting experience, multi-currency accounting experience, consolidation and intercompany reconciliation knowledge is a requirement.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in both preparing and reviewing work.
  • Highly motivated and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and manages workload effectively in a fast-pace environment.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting. Oracle R12, FCCS, Coupa experience is a plus.
