Your Role With Us: As a Reimbursement Analyst and Accountant for Salem Health, your role will involve a combination of financial analysis, accounting duties, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for performing monthly analysis of expected reimbursement and contractual write-offs for both Salem Hospital and West Valley Hospital, providing insight into payer sources. You will also prepare and validate revenue and variance reports for each hospital's financial statements. Your accounting duties will include assisting with the annual 990 filing, handling unclaimed property, managing employee health reserves, and supporting the annual audit process. You will prepare data for governmental cost reports, overseeing the annual audits for these reports. Additionally, you will handle ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and corporate credit card administration, while staying up to date with relevant Federal and State regulatory changes affecting reimbursement. Monitoring and reconciling Medicare and Medicaid settlement accounts, performing monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance reviews, and preparing financial audit workpapers will also be key aspects of your role. You will contribute to the preparation and validation of monthly financial packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting activities.
