JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: The Manager, Merchant Services Sales is responsible for developing and executing sales strategy and leading a merchant services sales team. This position will be responsible for setting sales objectives for the merchant services sales effort for the company, proactively identifying and leveraging growth opportunities in the market, and analyzing performance data to ensure the team is meeting/exceeding sales targets. This position will also be responsible for ongoing support, training, coaching and career development of the merchant services team and will serve as an escalation point for managers, business partners, vendors and prospective clients for new merchant sales activity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent manages managers and employees and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the assigned unit and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
