About our group:

The CTO Office PMO (Program Management Office) manages projects for the Research & Product Development organization, an organization consists of a broad set of engineering functions (media, electrical, mechanical, servo, memory, software, firmware, optical, chemical, physics, etc). These functions contribute to a wide variety of programs and projects, from advanced technology research to active product development.

The mission of the CTO Office PMO is two-fold: (1) to provide excellent program/project management results for special projects within Research and Advanced Technology Development, and (2) to serve as an example of excellence in program/project management for all of Seagate.

About the role - you will:

  • Work closely with PMs and engineering stakeholders to define, design, and implement web-based project workflows and communications via web pages and dashboards.
  • Interview stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Document requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation.
  • Design and implement web-based solutions, with frequent check-ins with stakeholders to make adjustments that will result in delighted satisfaction in the end results.
  • Use technologies within the Seagate IT infrastructure such as (but not limited to) SharePoint, O365, LucidChart, Jira, Smartsheet, PowerAutomate, and Tableau


About you:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to capture loosely described preferences as documented requirements, and ability to re-interpret back for confirmation and refinement
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Your experience includes:

  • Current Bachelors orMasters student in Business, Communications, Engineering Management, Computer Science and Other Engineering disciplines and returning to school in Fall 2025
  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet)
  • Visual design and presentation skills
  • Understanding of low-code applications and workflows
  • Projects automating data flows, workflows, single-source, communications, or other repeatable tasks and information.
  • Demonstration of previous information design work (e.g., web sites, communication materials, dashboards, presentations, etc)


Location:

The estimated base wage range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
