WHO WE ARE A department within Hallmark Creative Collections, the Hallmark Art Collection is a renowned collection of postwar and contemporary art in a variety of media. In addition to acquiring and maintaining art for Hallmark's corporate headquarters and ancillary locations, the program organizes exhibitions and administers programs to engage the public with art. The Hallmark Art Collection is the most enduring corporate collection in the United States. It comprises more than 3,800 works, including prints, paintings, sculpture, and electronic media. Among the artists included are modern masters such as Elaine de Kooning, Salvador Dali, and Norman Rockwell, as well as leading-edge artists such as Barbara Kruger, Peter Saul, and Kehinde Wiley. WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE Under the direction of the Curator, the Registrar cares for the Hallmark Art Collection according to professional standards and ethics, and supports the Curator with loans, exhibitions, and educational programs. The Registrar reports to the Curator and provides support in all areas of the Art Collection, including documentation of art objects, management of collections records and biographical files, and research for exhibitions, publications, and acquisitions. The Registrar will also field general Art Collection inquiries, coordinate with Hallmark managers to schedule art selection and installation for enclosed offices and conference areas and serve as liaison to clients in the art request process.
