We presently have an opportunity for a
Volunteer, Charity & Special Events Coordinator in the Little Rock, AR area focused on managing the volunteer and charity programs for the
Simmons Bank Championship Presented by Stephens. Candidates should have the ability to recruit and manage a large group of people that will assist with a PGA TOUR Champions event in Little Rock.
Responsibilities: * Volunteer Administration: recruitment, application process, data entry, communication with 900+ volunteers, volunteer package purchasing and preparation, volunteer website maintenance, volunteer headquarters management, training plans and execution, volunteer recognition/appreciation, post-event surveys * Community Involvement: recruit volunteers through local charities and community organizations, prospect activities and events for staff to participate and promote the tournament * Responsible for food and beverage trades for staff and volunteer meals during tournament week * Recruit volunteer / charity groups for group projects throughout the year and tournament week * Coordinates any involvement of tournament charities in tournament operations * Assist with recruitment, training, and oversight of tournament interns * Assist with general office administrative work including answering phones, general errands, inventory Qualifications: Skill Set Requirements * Bachelor's degree required * Ability to manage multiple programs/projects concurrently, inclusive of a highly detail oriented and organized approach. Must take initiative in project management and problem solving. Application of superior prioritization and time-management skills * Proven effectiveness in managing a complex organizational system and vast assortment of constituencies * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Capacity to address multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure; ability to produce high quality work at a very fast pace; organization, attention to detail, and time management * Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and general public * Highest degree of ethics and professional conduct * Confident, pro-active, creative, and collaborative style that assimilates well within a team * Proactive self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic * Exemplary written and oral communication skills; computer skills including all Microsoft products and assigned databases * Ability to travel with no restrictions; ability and willingness to work off-hours and hours necessary to get the job done, especially the 3-4 months prior to tournament week * Some medium lifting and labor is required * Eligible to work in the United States.
