Electrical Engineer HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. HX5 is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The selected Electrical Engineer will support the implementation of the Human Lander System (HLS) project and the Avionics development of a dynamic radioisotope power system for position agnostic, continuous power systems, for space craft and Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) powered missions and nuclear applications. The candidate will be tasked to support the design and testing of an avionics system for Stirling Technology Advancement for RPS Flight Payload and review electrical systems developed by contracted HLS system providers. Assignments include the electrical engineering support necessary to develop engineering, and flight grade avionics, data package, and documentation reviews. This work includes fundamental electrical design. When necessary, this includes designing and implementing component tests to verify component concepts or performance envelopes Required Skills:
