YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Financial Analyst opportunity in our Merriam, KS office. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in understanding and optimizing systems related to item definitions, yields, standard costing and packaging Bill of Materials (BOMs), as well as overseeing the complex fees and payments system. The role will leverage various software tools and data analysis techniques to optimize business processes, provide accurate reporting and ensure a deep understanding of the operations at Seaboard Foods. They will have very limited management responsibilities. Team members will collaborate with many functional areas across the organization including supply chain, plant operations, sales support, and continuous improvement. Analysts will receive technical, management and leadership training necessary for career development within Seaboard Foods.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate on cross functional projects between Sales, Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement.
  • Understand OMS systems, mostly dealing with Item Definition and company default details, yield and packaging BOMS. Be able to understand and update Yield and Packaging BOMs and components when needed.
  • Complete understanding of Fees and Payment systems, which is an equalization calculation system unique to Seaboard Foods. Understand how meat, packaging and labor costs are calculated. Be able to decipher errors or opportunities that may arise.
  • Understand and utilize all available data sources and modeling techniques to optimize business results.
  • Build proficiency and be able to provide training on the use of Impact, Excel, SQL, Tableau and other software products.
  • Responsible for Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly report generation and distribution. Understand how each is calculated and be able to answer all questions that arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree related to business analytics, business administration, accounting, finance, agriculture economics or agriculture business.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, PowerApps and advanced competency in Excel.



Preferred:



  • Experience using IBM AS400, Tableau, SQL Management Studio and other Business Intelligence software preferred.


SCHEDULE



  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
