We're looking for passionate, energetic, and responsible individuals to join our team as Lead Counselors and Summer Camp Counselors for our exciting 10-week Day Camp! As a counselor, you'll have the opportunity to work with kids, lead fun activities, and create lasting memories. Whether you're an experienced leader or looking to gain valuable skills, we want YOU to be part of our summer team. Our Summer Day Camp is June 2nd-August 8th. Staff Orientation is May 27th-30th. Summary/Primary Purpose: The Camp Kroc Counselor is responsible for following the leadership of the Camp Kroc Lead Counselor in providing leadership and direction for camp youth as assigned. Will assist with guidance while monitoring summer day camp activities at The Salvation Army Kroc Center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and experience in working with children. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a TSA or personal vehicle on The Salvation Army business. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete Safe from Harm, CPR, and AED training provided within 30 days of hire as established by The Salvation Army.
