Nokia of America Corporation, Hardware Reliability Scientist (Multiple Positions), New Providence, NJ. SALARY RANGE: $151,500 -159,591 per year WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) Nokia of America Corporation, Hardware Reliability Scientist (Multiple Positions), New Providence, NJ. Perform reliability assessments of evolving Nokia technologies and underlying processes to identify potential issues and corrective actions that can enable their timely and successful adoption. Collaborate with senior level engineers to collect background data, developing analytical options, and executing plans for failure mode analysis (FMA) of products that are experiencing reliability issues and failures. Interpret failure mode analysis (FMA) results and root cause findings and generating reports that drive risk assessment and corrective action. Conduct high quality characterizations and root cause analyses of electronic interconnects, printed circuit board assemblies, and components- such as- optical metallographic methods, scanning electron microscopy and x-ray inspection. Design electronic assemblies and packages, especially protection methods related to adversarial conditions due to heat, humidity, power, grounding, and contaminants. #LI-DNI JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field. Skills Required: Maintenance of experimental equipment, including SO2-H2S gas analyzer, NOx gas analyzer, and Mixed Flowing Gas Chambers; Scanning Electron Microscopy, Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy, Optical and Confocal Microscope, Raman Spectroscopy, and X-Ray Fluorescence; Consultations on corrosion issue from manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams using various standards such as global ISO, ASTM, and Mil; Electronic equipment, including thermo-mechanical and mechanical test methods used to assess quality and reliability of electronic products, including Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Testing (HAST), and Accelerated Life Testing (ALT). Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
