Job Description

In this critical role, you will be responsible for Technical/Business Project Management of one or more mixed-signal integrated circuit projects from product concept to product launch and mass production. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional development team comprised of Design Engineering, Systems/Validation Engineering, Package Engineering, Product and Test Engineering, Quality and Reliability, etc., to assure compliance with specifications, cost targets, critical milestones, prototype sample on-time delivery, and successful transition to production. You will develop detailed project schedules with a clear understanding of critical path, dependencies, identify and manage risks, and report status regularly and, where applicable, lead customers. PMs must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and communications skills, excel at problem solving and collaboration, be comfortable with high levels of complexity and uncertainty, and bring a proven track record of successful execution in a matrix organization. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of Skyworks by driving the development and introduction of innovative products that fuel company growth, while shaping and improving the processes and practices that underwrite our execution. A full understanding of customer needs, while driving productivity initiatives to ensure an efficient organization, and leading cross functional teams for root cause analysis and risk mitigation are all vital to success in this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules
  • Facilitate timely resolution of issues that may impact schedule or customer commitments
  • Drive critical path schedule tasks and risk mitigation plans
  • Resolve project and cross functional team issues
  • Ensure conformance with (and help improve) Skyworks Product Realization Process
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including status presentations to senior management


This in-person position is based at our Mixed Signal Solutions headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Required Experience and Skills

Qualifications



  • BSEE, MSEE, MBA, or related technical education with 5+ years of experience in technical project management and/or design/product/systems/applications engineering leadership in the semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge/familiarity with analog / mixed signal IC design and product development
  • Knowledge/ familiarity with project management industry standard practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, and retention of complex technical/critical information
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional engineering teams
  • Well organized with the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A passion to win, a growth mindset, and a "do what it takes" attitude
  • Strong knowledge of planning methodologies and supporting tools including MS Project and/or Planview PPM Pro (Oracle's Agile PLM software is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence etc)

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $XX-$XX per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, and paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, and parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
