RSM US LLP is looking for a dynamic Senior Account Director to join our North American Sales Organization!

The Senior Account Director role concentrates on maintaining, targeting and selling RSM services to existing RSM enterprise clients. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the sales process, including development of opportunity-specific sales strategy, development of client account expansion plans, and selection of pursuit teams and "quarterbacking" the entire sales process. When necessary, Sr. Account Director works with RSM Business Developers to transition relationships from the Business Developer to the Sr. Account Director.

The Sr. Account Director role will be responsible for the development of highly detailed relationship plans to include enterprise relationship mapping, strategic growth initiatives across all lines of business; the development and coordination of cross functional pursuit teams; and for certain clients may include relationship lead responsibilities. The Sr. Account Director is to be highly visible and integrated with assigned clients, key executive decision makers and key influencers to those decision makers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Development and execution of highly detailed client account plans that take into consideration cross functional service opportunities as well as securing current services/revenue provided to the client. The account plan is to include enterprise relationship mapping strategic growth initiative across all RSM lines of business. The Sr. Account Director will shepherd the opportunities executed by RSM through full implementation life cycle.
  • Responsible for detailing key decision makers, operating units and other relevant corporate profile information to aid in the identification of broader relationship opportunities. All relevant client information is to be captured in the firm CRM system.
  • The Sr. Account Director will be at the client site frequently in order to maintain relationships with the client executive team and those individuals who influence the key decision makers.
  • Be the gateway to RSM for the client - suggesting and promoting appropriate thought leadership, events and relationships.
  • Required to stay abreast of changing service offerings and bundle services across RSM.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network of internal subject matter experts across the spectrum of consulting services.Achieve stated growth goals through demonstrated mastery of service offerings, account plan execution and sales process best practices implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of client opportunities that meets the North American Sales organization's stated pipeline requirements.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Proficient Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)required
  • CRM experience for sales and/or account management application and requirements required
  • Formal sales process training (consultative selling, solution-based selling, complex sales or related consultative selling approaches required
  • Industry knowledge or the ability to develop in-depth industry knowledge through the use of firm data, training and thought leadership preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional services sales and/or account management, preferably in a consulting firm environment required

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a comprehensive and often complex sales process involving multiple internal resources and external decision-makers. Leadership in this role is largely based on influence and subject matter expertise rather than formal leadership roles or reporting lines required

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $142,800 - $253,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
