Base Hourly Rate: $21/hour

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

This role supports our SDC business unit. Our Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

Job Summary

The Production Technician I - APEX that supports our SDC Business has responsibility for production of culture media, processing of labware, provide support services to the Laboratory Analysts and Machine Operators. All work must be performed using company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) following GMP and industry standards and protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
  • Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
  • Complies with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
  • Operation of Apex product packaging and carrier preparation equipment.
  • Hand assembly of Apex product lines which includes pouching, sealing, and labeling of in-process materials.
  • Visual inspection for defects on Apex products to ensure quality.
  • Adherence to SOPs and participation in modification of SOPs to maintain compliance to standards.
  • Excellent practice of aseptic technique.
  • Meet good documentation practices per the quality system.
  • Comply with safety and lab cleanliness standards.
  • Timely delivery of materials and products to meet inventory stocking levels and customer demand.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience/Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of experience in a Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge and Skillsets Required



  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge working with Microsoft Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Qualitative and quantitative reasoning.
  • Self-Management - use time efficiently, use professionalism by accepting responsibility for own actions.
  • Time Management- adherence to production schedules and additional scheduling of independent tasks.
