Materials Control Coordinator

The Materials Control Coordinator is responsible for the daily ordering, receiving, shipping, and delivery of supplies for various departments. Working under close supervision, this role coordinates supplies and equipment, maintains optimal levels of inventory, verifies that deliveries are accurate, and ensures that the supplies received are in acceptable conditions. The schedule for this position is 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Monitors the inventory control system in order to ensure accurate supply levels, efficient usage, and timely replenishment of inventories.
  • Monitors the condition of equipment and initiates any necessary repairs in order for the equipment to maintain operational readiness.
  • Helps with ordering, receiving, and accounting for the Surgery Center supplies on a daily basis and follows up on outstanding items in order to ensure they are available for surgical procedure.
  • Assists with inventorying, reordering, restocking, and checking the expiration dates of inventory in order to comply with departmental needs.
  • Ensures supply deliveries are complete and accurate and that the condition of the supplies are acceptable.
  • Helps investigate and resolve back orders and other delivery issues and product returns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year of experience in materials management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
