This position is on-site in New Johnsonville. The Electrician is responsible for the operation, repairs, and troubleshooting of the electrical distribution of the facility and all electrical related equipment. What You Will Do
- Follow all safety policies and performs work in the safest manner
- Daily review work orders in SAP to ensure plant priorities are at the forefront and necessary parts/supplies are being ordered to support the facility relating to electrical systems
- Assist the team with strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of the maintenance program regarding electrical systems
- Proactively support the maintenance team/jobs to ensure jobs are executed without interruptions
- Collaborate daily/weekly with maintenance and production personnel to effectively execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
- Ensure complete understanding of proper PPE necessary for each job
- Review jobs in the field to ensure a high quality of workmanship and correct as necessary
- Treat maintenance team and all others with Respect
- Effectively communicate safety, production, and personnel issues as needed to ensure team is involved and supports/addresses any concerns
- Progression to evolve understanding of site equipment and process to improve safety
- Awareness of necessary/pending repairs of equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment
- Full comprehension of Albemarle corporate Electrical policies and procedures
What You Bring Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Certificate of completion Electrical Apprentice Program
- Follow all Albemarle safety policies
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot electrical diagrams
- Understanding of LOTO procedures
- Minimum 8 years experience maintaining power supply distribution and all electrical equipment for medium to large size manufacturing facility with electro-mechanical equipment.
- Understanding of proper PPE requirement according to repair
- Understands the basic principles of the work order process system
- Good verbal communication skills
- Motivated and self-directed toward goals of safety and reliability
- Proactive approach to preventive maintenance
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Understands safe work practices for chemical plant
- Interface with utility company as needed to support site electrical system
- Provide electrical guidance for the plant on future installations and or/projects
- Execute any electrical related repairs safely and provide direction/solutions for the site
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Able to work through adverse weather conditions
- Expected and capable to frequently walk, bend, stoop, balance, ascend/descend from ladders, operate various mobile equipment, pulling, crouching, twisting, and reaching.
- Hear well enough to perceive the nature of sounds relating to process equipment and communication
- 5-10 years' experience running conduits for new equipment
- Ability to read & comprehend electrical drawings & blueprints
It'd be great if you also had:
- Understanding/experience of troubleshooting electrical power failures
- Previous experience troubleshooting/installing VFD's and PLC'S
- Ability to effectively read/comprehend equipment/process drawings
- Motivated and self-directed toward goals of cost reduction and service factor improvement
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of facility power supply and distributions systems
- Experience with chemical processing plant and the electrical requirements for it
- Familiar and has experience with DCS programming, design, & implementation
