This Senior IT Software Developer (Maximo) will act as a technical specialist, providing advanced support for MWD's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically IBM Maximo. This system is essential for planning and tracking maintenance, managing work orders, and maintaining asset information for the Water System Operations group.

The developer in this role will be responsible for fulfilling critical technical tasks necessary to support the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and IBM Maximo version 7.6.1.3. These tasks include application configuration, resolving application issues per requirements, system upgrades, database configuration, automation scripting, managing MIF (Maximo Integration Framework) interfaces, implementing integrations via JSON/SOAP XML and REST APIs, Maximo mobile (and/or 3rd party mobile app) configuration, security configuration, escalations, workflows, and migration management.

This position requires a strong understanding of relational databases, MAS/Maximo data model, MAS/Maximo infrastructure, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in programming languages such as Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, Jython, and Java is also essential. As a technical lead, the employee may act as project manager and will be responsible for providing technical insight, mentorship, and effectively collaborating with IT and Water System Operations stakeholders.

Schedule: 4/10, Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Hybrid: Metropolitan's current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience.

Relevant Experience is defined as: having a strong technical background in supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and configuring Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), particularly IBM Maximo, as well as performing software development tasks within Maximo AND integrating the application with other systems.
