Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Financial Aid Counselor for Financial Aid - RH,
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Recommends and administers policies and procedures for the administration of financial aid and the day-to-day activities of the financial aid office.
  • Provides administrative services for financial aid processing and counseling for all students enrolled in academic programs at RH.
  • Formulates financial aid award packages in compliance with current established policies and regulations of federal, state, private, and university programs. Determines and approves financial aid eligibility using latest online technology.
  • Prepares and presents financial literacy information to students. Assists in administering individual and group federally mandated entrance and exit interview programs.
  • Acts as a liaison with various internal departments and represents RH at professional meetings.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in student financial aid.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with networked mainframe and PC systems.
