As the Senior Clinical Laboratory Specialist for Regulatory Affairs, your primary duties will include:

* Providing leadership, support, and expertise for the CLS student program, continuing education and CLS career track programs, department staff orientation, and the safety program.

* Leading training sessions to promote compliance and quality excellence.

* Reviewing quality data, proficiency testing activities, and validation plans.

* Providing technical reviews for the laboratory and UCLA Health.

* Conducting assessments and audits.

* Developing and implementing new policies, processes, and procedures.

* Investigating nonconforming events to identify systemic issues.

* Analyzing data trends for risk management and process improvement.

* Maintaining quality system essentials across multidisciplinary laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with licensing, accrediting, governmental, and credentialing agency requirements.

Salary Range: $60.71 - $78.17/hour

Qualifications

* Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.

* Bachelor's degree.

* At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and compliance-related activities, plus 4 years as a licensed clinical laboratory scientist.

* Expertise in deviation management and corrective action implementation.

* Proficiency in project planning and implementation.

* Strong experience in writing procedures and reports.

* Excellent presentation and communication skills.

* Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
