The US Oncology Network is looking for a Reimbursement Analyst to join our team at Texas Oncology! This full time remote position will support our Central Business Office at 3001 E President George Bush Hwy Richardson, TX 75082 This position will work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.

What does the Reimbursement Analyst do? (including but not limited to)

Under direct supervision, supports the managed care function through analysis of new contracts, retrospective analysis of contracts, analysis and communication of reimbursement trends and preparation of managed care reports. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Conducts monthly payor audits to identify reimbursement issues of top payors. Conducts ad-hoc analysis in support of managed care activities.
  • Prepares reports on reimbursement analysis trends. Documents and communicates findings to managed care and practice management teams to ensure optimal reimbursement.
  • Maintains electronic managed care reimbursement schedules in A/R system.
  • Conducts monthly receivables analysis by physician to identify billing participation issues in managed care plans.
  • Performs analysis and reimbursement functions in strict accordance to HCFA regulations and all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and financial information in assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:

  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or related business degree and two years experience in healthcare reimbursement, managed care or finance OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Prior experience in statistical and financial analysis a plus.
