This role will supervise and coordinate technical services for the designated operational area as well as plan and help effectively manage preventative maintenance programs. What You Will Do:

  • Ownership and oversight of system equipment and Technical Services which includes Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Measurement related maintenance and repair of terminal and pipeline assets.

  • Provide leadership in Safety, Maintenance Reliability Program (MRP), Work Execution Management (WEM).

  • Ensure team compliance with company safety standards and procedures.

  • Ensure team compliance with company policies.

  • Ensure all required regulations are being met in a safe and timely manner and work is conducted according to company procedures.

  • Ensure the integrity and operational reliability of the terminal and pipeline systems to optimize system throughput, minimize down time, and ensure safe and reliable operations of the system.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure successful completion of all work and projects.

  • Provide support to all other working groups within the Region as required.

  • Provide direction to various external equipment suppliers, vendors, or contractors, as required to safely execute system maintenance and repair

  • Provide adequate training and support to Technical Services team members to ensure competency and success of the team.

  • Assures that the DOT requirements and Operator Qualifications (OQ's) are completed and documented

  • Ensure all records associated with system maintenance, work planning and execution, employee training and qualifications are retained or submitted according to company record requirements.

  • Ensure drawings are routinely updated and that associated record-keeping and drawings are accurate.

  • Maintain an on-call schedule to effectively handle and respond to trouble reports and other maintenance difficulties or emergencies.

  • Perform Manager On-Call duties as required

  • Participate on Regional Incident Management Team and support emergency response as required.

  • Assist in the design development and implementation of operational equipment and participate in project design reviews.

  • Meet all required metrics identified within the Regional/Area objectives which include safety and reliability, optimization of system operation and maintenance, stakeholder engagement, supporting growth projects, promoting ESG leadership, and employee development.

Who You Are:

  • Related university degree and seven-plus years' experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform associated tasks and familiarity with commonly used equipment and related maintenance practice

  • A thorough understanding of and disciplined adherence to Company safety standards, company policies, and operation and maintenance procedures

  • Electrical and Instrumentation or Mechanical aptitude, and administrative ability

  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and has effective leadership and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional travel to other locations. Terminal and pipeline facility environment during supervision of work.

  • Emergency On-Call alcohol and drug free.

  • Available for emergency call 24 hours a day.

  • Periodic overnight travel as required to manage team, supervise work, or for company meetings (25 times per year +/-)

  • Maintaining or re-establishing throughput sometimes requires working in extreme cold (-35 F) and extreme heat (100+ F).

  • Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapors from crude oil and solvents may be present.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
