Astrion is seeking a Vice President of Pricing to play a vital role in enhancing the Company's pricing, shared services, treasury, and financial reporting functions as the firm continues to grow and scale the business. The position is highly visible within the organization and will serve as a key advisor to the CFO and the executive leadership team. The Vice President of pricing will have responsibility for go-to-market, contracts/legal, finance, and other critical resources to drive RFP big deal pricing, FP&A, and business decision support.

The Vice President of pricing will play a critical role in solving customers' challenges and driving growth by utilizing well-honed public sector pricing and financial acumen skills, including strong analytical abilities as well as ease in developing collaborative relationships.

The successful candidate will have a passion for process improvement with demonstrated experience in developing new and improving existing, pricing policies and procedures through a mix of technology and development of high-performance teams.

The candidate will also have experience managing large and strategic deals, and an understanding of the pricing and review processes. They will act as the main point of contact for price proposals, pricing models, bid configurations, and more.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven highly visible leader with strong executive presence, ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and regularly interface with C-Suite executives.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth organizations across different industries with M&A exposure. Government services architecture and engineering sector experience desired.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to distill complex technical pricing concepts into easily digestible information for business leaders.
  • Ability to influence actions and coordinate activity across cross-business-unit, cross-functional stakeholder groups without direct authority.
  • Track record of success in building, developing, and mentoring teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • 15+ years of experience in pricing and estimating procedures with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Government contracting exposure, especially in private equity-backed environments.
  • Track record of successfully implementing new tools, technologies, and processes to improve financial efficacy and accuracy.
  • Visible leader with strong executive presence and ability to regularly interface with and advise C-Suite as well as Boards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. Advanced degree / MBA preferable, CPA highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with Astron's pricing and estimating procedures, advise the leadership of pricing requirements/obligations and provide interpretation of RFP requirements.
  • Accurately create winning RFP pricing strategies and participate in internal monitoring and implementation processes.
  • Support business units on major proposals and initiatives; become a trusted business partner by providing insights about price ramifications related to solutions, proposals, and bid offerings - serve as the Federal pricing subject matter expert to Astron's corporate functions.
  • Participate in Strategic Pipeline opportunity selection, prioritization, and critical reviews.
  • Strengthening the financial management of the company, including identification and evaluation of risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Providing business and strategic decision support including top-line growth, transition to SaaS, resource allocation, and organization health.
