Quality Coordinator

This position is responsible for coordinating quality control processes to ensure Sherwin products meet quality specifications. This position schedules and plans quality control activities based on production requirements and customer requirements. This position also provides support to quality control technicians and performs internal quality and package appearance audits.

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00pm-7:00am, Must be flexible based off business need

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.   • Support shift set-up including scheduling and planning
  • Contribute ideas to improve or optimize quality procedures
  • Abide by and promote all company safety and quality expectations
  • Comply with policies and standard operating procedures
  • Evaluate and provide resolution of in-process and finished goods
  • Advise on all problem batches
  • Schedule and perform internal quality and package appearance audits
  • Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in Quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an Associate degree or higher in Chemistry or at least two (2) years of experience working in a quality control laboratory
  • Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or quality control systems
