Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an Application support Engineer to join their automation initiative. This is a great opportunity to work on large scale critical systems in a leading financial services organization. You will get exposure to a modern tech stack including internal/public cloud technologies. To be qualified, you will have experience in enterprise environments supporting production and following technical runbooks to solve issues. Long Term Contract - 12-18 months Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in office, will likely move to 5 days Work Hours: Not determined yet but there will be shifts Goal of this initiative: Establish functions that will be automated or move to app dev and centralize under the line of business. This team will perform these functions until automated. Once fully automated, their services will no longer be needed. Technical competence: Able to follow a technical runbook to: oLogin to jump box, right to host, execute scripts/jobs, assess output and next steps oUse admin counsels to bounce platform components without negatively impacting other platform components oUse admin counsels to divert traffic during application deployments oNavigate legacy and cloud platforms in support of technical operations environments. oMake decisions in support of technical operations environments oAssess and act on system alerts that require technical intervention and escalation as needed. Demonstrate technical aptitude and maturity when things don't go as planned in an operations environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $47.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
