ISO New England is the not-for-profit, independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England's ongoing transition to clean energy.

This position drives the successful execution of the knowledge-transfer cycle with the companies doing business with ISO New England (participants) on dozens of highly-complex power-system and electricity-market initiatives. Through project management processes, you will establish clear and connected time-bound milestones, information, and tools for Participant Relations & Services (PR&S) teams to develop successful information rollout plans spanning corporate work plans, committee discussion of changes, training on changes, participant readiness for changes, and participant support on changes. You will also effectuate a knowledge management framework and support information development to achieve desired participant business preparedness objectives.

How you will make an impact



  • Implement the PR&S Department's project management strategy for ensuring the timely, coordinated execution of information releases (knowledge transfers) to participants on emerging through newly effective initiatives
  • Schedule and facilitate project coordination meetings with cross-functional teams of PR&S members and subject matter experts from across the organization, establishing clear agendas, minutes, plans, action items, and identification and resolution of issues relating to participant knowledge transfer on projects as they advance from inception to implementation
  • Establish clear and connected time-bound milestones, information, and project updates for PR&S teams to ensure successful, coordinated knowledge-transfer rollout plans
  • Develop and maintain PR&S project status dashboards and reports for management
  • Collaborate with Project Planning Analyst on tracking PR&S project artifacts/documentation, progress, and deliverables in Asana
  • Collaborate with PR&S team members and subject matter experts on readiness information planning, development, and scheduling and help ensure consistency and quality of the information shared with participants
  • Collaborate with PR&S team members and subject matter experts on supporting the COO's monthly report to participants, helping ensure consistency, quality, and usefulness of information
  • Develop and operationalize a knowledge management framework for organizing and tracking participant readiness and engagement information on the ISO initiatives going through the PR&S department, ensuring complete, consistent, and well-planned use of readiness information


What we are looking for



  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline, information systems, communications, or other related degree
  • Project Management Professional Certification or similar certification highly preferred
  • Highly collaborative detail-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse array of colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to drive teams to decisions in a matrixed environment where you do not have direct managerial responsibility for team members
  • Experience with managing or participating in cross-functional projects covering complex technical topics and with nascent projects that may be ambiguous
  • Knowledge of core project management principles and practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Asana or demonstrated technical ability with similar software and ability to learn quickly
  • Energy market experience highly valued
