JBS is looking for an outcomes-oriented, adaptable Instructional Resource Designer with a passion for improving the safety and welfare of children and proven skills in designing and delivering expert-level training and coaching to groups of professionals in management and leadership positions in child welfare agencies on child welfare topics and issues. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with project staff and Federal clients to design, produce, and deliver high-quality products (e.g., publications, audio recordings, videos, online courses) that meet Section 508 accessibility requirements. With our communications manager and expert director, you'll help lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate effectively with colleagues, consultants, and stakeholders in the child welfare field to create engaging, innovative professional and educational development materials and activities, forums, and communities of practice. As an Instructional Resource Designer at JBS, you'll also get to flex your skills in translating, articulating, and simplifying complex knowledge and skills to constituency groups with varying levels of education and expertise, giving them essential, actionable information to address child safety, permanency, and well-being. With our librarians and content quality and strategy leads, you'll form the informational hub of high-impact child welfare contracts, developing and maintaining an electronic library of professional development resources of both general child welfare knowledge and specific areas of expertise. This role assists in the development of course materials that are functional, intuitive, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design principles. This position reviews developed materials for alignment to learning goals and objectives and continually explore new technologies for potential application to solve instructional problems. ***If you reside within a 50-mile radius of our North Bethesda or San Mateo offices, this will be considered a hybrid role**** ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, behavioral health, public health or other human services field; additionally, a degree or certification in instructional design is strongly preferred Language: English Fluency (Written and Oral) Experience: 3 years of experience in instructional design, specifically with coaching and training Knowledge:
