Role of the PHE Coordinator:

As the PHE Coordinator, you will lead, manage and train Health Educators (HEs) to teach PHE modules in partnering middle/high schools. The coordinator will also serve as the partnering school liaison to coordinate curriculum development, student facilitator classroom assignments, and classroom curriculum delivery. The coordinator does have the option to continue teaching in the classroom. The coordinator must attend the all Orientations, Trainings and all required meetings.

Position requirement: Must have participated as a PHE facilitator or student co-coordinator in past semesters of the PHE program.

Pay Amount:

$25.00 per/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • 19 hours per week time commitment
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Conduct PHE training workshops in partnership with PHE Faculty
  • Support classroom delivery of curriculum as assigned to the designated school/classroom and PHE student facilitator (avg. 60 minutes each)
  • Support training to use a positive youth development approach and ensure LGBTQ+ and minority student inclusivity in all programming
  • Participate in weekly workshop group meetings
  • Support recruitment efforts for new partnering middle/high schools for the PHE program in future semesters
