Office Services Specialist - Human Resources

Job Duties and Responsibilities:





  • Administer weekly payroll


* Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrived



  • Greet visitors and maintain visitor logbook
  • Perform various Human Resource duties
  • Execute recruitment for all non-exempt plant staffing; resume screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, ensuring completion of background checks/testing, etc.
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process for employees


    • Coordinate new employee orientation for new hires; ensure new hire paperwork is complete including tax documents, I-9, E-verify, etc.


  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs
  • Administrative maintenance of EHS Dashboard
  • File worker's comp and OSHA reports as accidents occur in the workplace. Follow up from beginning to end with all pertinent detail regarding each incident
  • Monitor DairyU Trainings for compliance


    • Maintain training sheets


  • Maintain employee personnel files, recruiting documentation, employment verification, benefits information and other documentation as required; track and follow-up on any missing documentation as needed
  • Schedule plant tours, arrange meetings, and facilitate various plant activities


* Follow all DFA GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

* Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgement

* Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity

* Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

  • Able to identify and respond actively, and with sensitivity, to the needs of all customers
  • Is open and responsive to change
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English



High school education or equivalent experience

Some college preferred
