About this position:

This is a part time, 20 hours per week position with the potential to convert to full time in the future.

The Surgical PI Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day performance improvement oversight of the care of the surgical patient across the care continuum. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the American College of Surgeons performance improvement verification standards. Review patient charts as you assist with the identification, preparation, and analysis of cases and safety events occurring in patients undergoing procedures under anesthesia for review and discussion at conferences and committee meetings by reviewing trigger reports, HERO reports, and dashboard data. Participates in perioperative quality and safety committees and event-related ACAs and RCAs. Works in close collaboration with the Departments of Surgery, Anesthesia, Quality and Safety, and all hospital services which provide service to the surgery patient. Facilitates the interdisciplinary performance improvement and patient safety program for the children's surgical program to comply with the American College of Surgeon Level 1 Children's Surgery Verification standards. Assists with the identification, preparation, and analysis of cases and safety events occurring in patients undergoing procedures under anesthesia for review and discussion at conferences and committee meetings by reviewing trigger reports, HERO reports, and dashboard data. Participates in perioperative quality and safety committees and event-related ACAs and RCAs.

What you will bring:

* Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

* Current State of Florida RN license required.

* Five year's OR/perioperative nursing experience, pediatric and/or patient safety and quality experience preferred. Experience or familiarity with National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 40.95 per hour - Maximum 63.46 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
