Where you'll be:

This position will be based in the Springfield, TN.

All about the role:

The Maintenance unit Leader will participate in, and support management directed policies and procedures. Lead and direct all activities on the shift. Provide technical coaching and advice on all related equipment, facilities and utilities in and around the plant. In this role you will teach and instruct people in the proper practices of doing their jobs and following a "safety first" approach.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and coach teams of tradesmen in performing repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment.

  • Leads by example all safety rules pertaining in the workplace and provide a safe workplace for all employees.

  • Understand and lead the work order process. (Avantis CMMS)

  • The supervisor must complete all daily paperwork required work orders, vacation forms, accident/incident reports, 8 D sheets, stop cards and daily check sheets.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a maintenance supervisor.

  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and CMMS.

  • Communication skills for effective collaboration with different stakeholders, internal teams and factories.

  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot using schematics and blueprints in the following areas: hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, mechanical, piping and welding.

  • Must have a good understanding of lock- out tag-out procedure and will ensure all people will comply with Plant policy.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand bend, stoop, grip and reach repetitively throughout a shift.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

  • Must be able to work out of an articulating boom or scissor lift up to 50 feet in the air.
