Your tasks Develop and execute category strategies for assigned local categories. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and optimize sourcing strategies. Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions or escalate issues as needed. Introduce and adapt procurement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain and update standard contracts. Negotiate contracts and pricing for local categories. Perform total cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Manage and implement special projects as required. Monitor and maintain the global supplier pool. Conduct material analysis and ABC-XYZ analysis to prioritize procurement efforts. Execute RFQ processes for local categories. Implement standardized SAP processes. Standardize material and supplier master data and implement global processes. Ensure standardized methods for executing operational procurement activities. Promote the use of IT tools and investigate new tools and applications. Negotiate within the defined value limit matrix. Drive sustainable savings and cost reduction initiatives. Negotiate final prices and contract terms with suppliers for GF CS (within the value limit matrix). Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulations and standards. Initiate claim management and escalation processes. Manage risks associated with transactions and supplier relationships. Evaluate and develop supplier performance. Develop procurement team members within the framework of the Procurement Academy. Monitor orders to ensure supply security for the site. Adhere to the signature regulation of GF CS. Your profile Summary: The Plant Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and cost optimization within the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 5 + years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
