Responsibilities Ankeny Family Medicine is seeking a patient-focused RN, LPN or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers with patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. If you have a passion for providing excellent care to patients across all age groups, we encourage you to apply and join our Team! Key Responsibilities: Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Accurately record patient histories, vital signs, and symptoms in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Prepare exam rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies. Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers. Perform routine lab tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, and other point-of-care testing. Educate patients on preventive care, medication instructions, and follow-up care plans. Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, managing referrals, and coordinating patient care. Support front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out and answering phone calls. Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and clinic safety. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure a seamless patient experience. Qualifications** Current RN/LPN Licensure, State of Iowa, or Current National Certification as a Medical Assistant. High school diploma. BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
