Compensation: $31.00 - $34.00

Seeking a mechanically inclined, and safety-oriented field mechanic. This position is responsible for heavy duty diesel maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks and trailers. This is an entry level field mechanic role and will consider training the right individual.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components to ensure equipment operates smoothly.
  • Keep accurate/detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs and report any major issues to senior mechanics or supervisors.
  • Adhere strictly to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs, & Procedures Manual and MSHA/OSHA standards while wearing proper PPE.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment for diagnostics and repairs. Stay updated with the latest technology and repair techniques.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.



Ability, Skills & Knowledge




  • Ability to work in field conditions, including the ability to handle repairs and maintenance tasks in various environments. (i.e. Construction sites, remote locations).
  • Diesel and Gas Engine repairs.
  • Basic hydraulic repairs.
  • Basic 12V and 24V Electrical repairs.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment or relevant training through vocational schools or apprenticeships.
  • Basic air brake systems.
  • Basic truck clutch repair and adjustments.
  • Troubleshooting/Computer diagnostics.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and climb throughout the day.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
  • High school education or GED equivalent.
