REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Concession Supervisor- Part Time 19 at C.B. Smith Park.

General Description
The general duties for this position will be to oversee all concession points and related sales during events, order food resupply, complete inventories and provides customer service to park patrons.

The purpose of this class within the organization is to perform supervisory concession sales work in the operation of a county operated concession facility in a county park.

This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires one (1) year of lead work or supervisory experience in concessions and/or point-of-sale systems or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
None.
Preferences:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possess two (2) or more years of food handling experience, concessions and/or restaurant experience.
Certified ServSafe Food Manager
Experience working with RecTrac software

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.

Operates a park concession facility, provides patrons with supplies, refreshments, and various confectionery items in demand; recommends the purchase of commodities required and vendors to supply them; supervises and operates concession facilities; takes reservations; receives payments; sells items to patrons; oversees the cleanliness, maintenance and inventory of all equipment used.

Manages a park area where activities include boating, camping, and miniature golfing; sells vending tickets, supervises food and refreshment services at the park sites, and provides for the custodial care and maintenance of all equipment and supplies used in the concession area.

Receives and accounts for all merchandise handled at the facility; maintains accurate sales and cash receipt records; assigns subordinates to work schedules which are adequate to meet fluctuations in park attendance; reports on the work performance of assigned personnel; advises administrative staff on ways and means of improving service and increasing revenue production; prepares various reports for attendance, revenue, inventory, and incidents.

Performs related work as assigned.
