As an Unemployment Compensation Tax Technician, you will assist in the establishment, maintenance, and control of employer accounts and identify and take appropriate action. You must have a thorough working knowledge of all applicable aspects of the PA UC law, regulations, and all bureau policies and procedures. You will review, interpret, and apply various reference materials and resources; analyze account; identify actions needed; and use the UC management system to maintain accounts. Additionally, You will also work with the supervisor on cases that must be escalated through the chain of command.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework), with occasional in-office days when work or otherwise dictates such requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Unemployment Compensation Tax Technician Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
• Two years of experience in maintaining financial records, bookkeeping, tax preparation, or clerical accounting; or

• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
