The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate | Orthopaedics-White 6
White 6 is a 30-bed unit with the clinical specialty being orthopaedics and Oral Maxillofacial/Medical. The population of patients includes elective total joint replacement, trauma, and orthopedic oncology. The Patient Care Associate (PCA) will assist the RNs in White 6 with a variety of functions including phlebotomy and EKGs, transport patients, check rooms and equipment, assist patients with dressing and feeding and some clerical functions. Our Patient Care Associate team prides themselves in responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner. Preferred: Must haverecent experience,and/ortraining,in clinical patient care. Required:Licensed, certified or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing program Pre-Med or PA undergraduate program with at leastone semester of patient care rotations completed at time of hire.
