Wenger Corporation is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure products comply with requirements by providing the organization with technical support around part inspection and metrology, control of non-conforming material, resolution of quality issues, product team support and ISO coordination.

At a minimum you'll need:



  • Proven knowledge and experience in the use of inspection/measurement/test equipment/metrology
  • Demonstrated drawing/blueprint reading skills
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Experience with business planning software, Epicor preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • One to two (1-2) years of quality assurance or related manufacturing experience



It'd be great if you also have:



  • Technical Associates degree in related area (quality assurance or manufacturing technology)
  • ASQC Certified Quality Technician (CQT)



As a Quality Assurance Technician, a typical day might include:



  • Inspecting parts and creating and maintaining inspection reports
  • Creating programs for and operating Coordinate Measuring Machine
  • Performing data collection and statistical analysis
  • Completing data entry and report generation
  • Representing the Quality department on Product Teams and New Product Development projects
  • Initiating and maintaining inspection procedures
  • Reviewing ECO's and drawings prior to release or change
  • Providing back up support in the Receiving department by processing delivery receipts and returned goods
  • Maintaining DMR and Corrective Action databases as assigned and providing guidance and training to the organization as needed
  • Calibrating, repairing, and recording maintenance of inspection equipment
  • Recommending new methods to increase efficiency and improve processes
  • Reviewing customer complaints and supporting the resolution of issues
  • Assisting with the Internal Audit plan and performing some audits
