Job Details

The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing key decision makers with information to support company initiatives and strategy related to Cencora's PRxO Generics business. This role analyzes and interprets internal financial business reports, trend analysis and projections and creates action plans based on the relevant data to ensure integrity and accuracy. Role is also responsible for arranging and conducting any needed training for current analysts

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Pricing Manager on Segment based pricing tasks including RFP analysis, competitive requests, and price maintenance.

  • Execute financial models for new business proposals and renewals in pricing systems and models

  • Perform impact analysis to model and track pricing actions and effectiveness

  • Indirectly responsible for managing the work of junior analysts and co-ops as needed

  • Responsible for training and development of pricing analysts

  • Influence stakeholders within Pricing Management, Finance, Sales, Legal, and Category Management Sales by providing critical information, resolving issues and driving enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Develop and standardized processes, tools, and templates for business case/deal analytics

  • Lead customer pricing discussions

  • Set pricing for various classes of trade and customers

  • Perform financial analysis to identify new margin & sales growth opportunities

  • Assist pricing team with additional routine and ad-hoc data analysis

  • Interact with project sponsors, stakeholders and various project members to ensure that specific business needs are met.

  • Assists in data mining and ad-hoc analysis to ensure that requirements are fulfilled on routine and ad-hoc assignments.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Superior in Microsoft Office Excel, Access, Word and Power Point

  • SQL knowledge a plus

  • Strong familiarity with Data Warehouse applications and standard reporting

  • Ability to analyze financial data and interpret results

  • Ability to convey results of analysis in an easy-to-follow format

  • Knowledge of SAP systems

  • Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations

  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well within a team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to communicate and discuss analytic results to different and varied audiences

  • Experience working with Pharmaceutical pricing a plus

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and provide insight and recommendations to Senior Level Management.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex contractual agreements in regards to PRxO impact
