Overview:

Intellibridge is seeking a UX/UI Designer to craft modern, user-centered experiences that support the modernization of immigration records for DHS USCIS. This important role requires an understanding of UX principles tailored to enterprise level services and products. In this capacity, you'll drive human-centered design processes, ensuring the development of ethical, intuitive, and impactful digital solutions that streamline and improve the record management systems for immigration services. Collaborating closely with public sector stakeholders, your efforts will redefine complex regulatory requirements into accessible, user-friendly systems.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond designing traditional interfaces, influencing real-world user interactions within intricate policy frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and communication skills, leading research, ideation, and design initiatives. You will be responsible for developing detailed customer journey maps, user flows, and wireframes, alongside conducting usability testing and facilitating collaborative client workshops. Your expertise in applying human-centered design methodologies will align client objectives with user needs, significantly impacting the RMSS program's success and the overall user experience in immigration processes.

Clearance:

  • Public Trust clearance requires a background investigation (BI) and entry on duty (EOD) status. This must be applied for upon acceptance of employment offer. Candidates with existing or recently completed Public Trust background investigations are preferred.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring design decisions are driven by data, policy compliance, and user feedback.
  • Lead and facilitate collaborative design sessions to align multi-disciplinary teams on user-centric solutions.
  • Drive the end-to-end design process, from concept to implementation, ensuring a seamless integration of design systems and accessibility standards.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex user challenges within the constraints of immigration policy and system architecture.
  • Champion the importance of user experience by sharing insights and results from usability testing and research.
  • Help build out the next iteration of RMSS' design system, setting the foundation for scalable, consistent, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Fluently collaborate with developers, demonstrating familiarity with Material UI, HTML/CSS, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Create icons and vector graphics as needed to support design deliverables and maintain visual consistency.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) is a big plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on engineering projects with specific Business and UX Design.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with Figma, including working with design libraries and creating elegant, reusable components.
  • Experience with architecture & design experience, including at least 3 years of experience providing UX Design expertise for enterprise applications on AWS.
  • Experience with large-scale, high-performance enterprise application deployment and UX Design on complex heterogeneous environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or other comparable degree or experience in designing user experiences.
  • Must have problem-solving skills with aptitude to support self-organizing multi-disciplinary teams with experience in persona development, data visualization, high-fidelity prototyping, and business process design.
