Job Posting Title: Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Time Type: Full Time

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for validating outbound cargo, confirming delivery ticket accuracy and that all necessary labels, documents, and markings are present. This individual is also responsible for documenting and discrepancies and notifying leadership. These Quality Assurance Specialists are accountable for the accurate and timely readiness of cargo and are expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Quality Assurance Specialists are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Inventory Specialists are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Use the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are picked, staged, and prepared correctly
  • Verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.
  • Validate staged cargo by:

    • Validating piece counts against paperwork
    • Confirming shipper information on freight against outbound paperwork
    • Validating DG paperwork against freight markings / confirm freight is segregated correctly against DG regulations
    • Confirming all freight has MAWB labels / Confirm these labels match outbound paperwork
    • Confirming all freight has correct screening information on it
    • Confirming freight is properly scanned out of inventory system
    • Confirming freight is free of damage and packaged correctly
    • Documenting errors that are found





General Responsibilities



  • Assist in other departments as general warehouse associates, as needed, per the direction of the direct supervisor or other member of management
  • Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands
  • Pick productsefficiently and accuratel and stage in the appropriate areas
  • Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements



Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance



  • Responsible for executing all safety protocols and will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and are required to maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in security of the warehouse
  • Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards



Equipment Operation



  • Performassigned duties, the equipment used can include, but is not limited to, a pallet jack, order picker, and scissor lift
  • Responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and follow prescribed work methods
  • Maintenance
  • Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned



Educational background / Work experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations



  • MHE License - Certified through DSV



Preferred Qualifications



  • 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
  • Current or prior MHE certification



Skills & Competencies

Computer Skills



  • Basic Microsoft Office suite knowledge (Excel/Word/Teams/etc)



Language Skills



  • English (reading, writing, verbal)



Mathematical Skills



  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.



Other Skills



  • Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplishes job task in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment.

DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees. This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time, provided the discharge does not violate any law*. For this position, the expected base pay is:$62,500 - $84,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
