YOUR IMPACT

The Investment Grade Capital Markets Group within the Investment Banking Division is looking for an analyst to join the team in New York.

OUR IMPACT

Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial debt offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with the largest and most sophisticated corporate and financial institution clients and are a team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.

The Investment Grade (IG) Capital Markets team advises IG rated corporations on capital structure or capital allocation issues and collaborates with classic investment banking as well as other financing product groups to execute IG debt transactions. The team is directly responsible for debt execution and works closely with the syndicate desk -- which sits between investment banking and sales and trading -- to structure, market and price new corporate bonds, loans and hybrid securities. The IG Capital Markets team is also involved in all financing-related discussion topics with its clients (e.g. convertible bonds, share repurchase, hedging, etc).

  • Prepare materials for financing and capital markets client meetings, often working closely alongside banking or other financing product groups and interacting with client contacts
  • Closely monitor market events and themes in order to provide market color or flag financing opportunities to clients

  • Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial analysis in Excel and / or Bloomberg
  • Interest in macroeconomics and capital markets
