OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Associate Director, Clinical Operations leads the Clinical Operations Team who are responsible and accountable for planning, preparation, and execution clinical study initiatives for the US R&D OTC Center of Excellence. This position has three direct reports.

This includes:

  • Manage all types of in vitro and human efficacy, safety, claims, and consumer research studies, including organoleptic testing, consumer insight tests, scan panels, and consumer panels.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing study protocols, relevant study documents, medical/clinical portions of study reports, and subject information and consent forms.
  • Demonstrate strong people management capabilities, including training, talent development, conducting annual reviews, and implementing realistic succession planning for the team.
  • Oversee the clinical operations budget and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Manage procurement operations for bidding out studies, ensuring competitive and compliant processes.
  • Oversee and manage Clinical Operations Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identifying opportunities to streamline efficiencies while maintaining compliance.
  • Ensure audit readiness by meeting all requirements per industry standards and maintaining documentation integrity.
  • Manage the filing and archiving of all clinical study reports in accordance with industry standards.
  • Track market trends and competitive landscape, sharing insights and findings with the team to inform strategic decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Sr. Associate Director, Clinical Operations role requires appropriate experience and following sets of qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science with 8+ years of experience in Clinical Operations in R&D
  • Master of Science 7 years' experience in Clinical Operations (Preferred)
  • Ph.D. in Science related area and 7 years' experience (Nice to have)
