What you'll do As the Director, Sales Finance - Strategic Channels, you are a senior member of the commercial finance team reporting into the VP, Commercial Finance and the sales finance business partner for key customer accounts that play strategic roles for the KIND business including an emphasis on high growth and unique routes to market. In aggregate, the customers under this role's management comprise ~25% of KIND's overall sales. This role will be a thought partner and finance leader to multiple KIND sales leaders with a focus on driving profitable, sustainable growth and will drive key strategic initiatives for the commercial finance team. How you'll do it
- Planning & Forecasting: Deliver annual profitability plans and ongoing p&l forecasting for strategic customers. This requires strong levels of partnership with sales leadership as well as marketing and finance teams as appropriate. Annual plans will need to be developed in line with customer expectations, market performance, and internal expectations with a focus on delivering the strategic roles of each customer account.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analysis of customer level profitability on a quarterly basis with value added insights to drive growth and profit and meet annual expectations. Ability to dissect performance and clearly articulate drivers to sales business partners with insight and follow through to drive change is critical.
- Trade Spend Management: Partner closely with sales throughout the year to ensure trade spend tracks to annual expectations with active conversations on risks, opportunities, and trade-offs throughout the year.
- Controls Management: Ensure effective levels of controls within trade management including driving accurate trade spend accruals, ensuring proper process regarding supporting documentation is being followed, and partnering with internal finance on audits
- Customer Specific Items and Investments: Support the development of customer specific items ensuring items are profitable in line with guardrails and meet business strategy expectations. Partner with sales teams on strategic investments to ensure they meet value creation expectations.
- Multi-Year Strategy: Develop multi-year strategy with key customer accounts and dimensionalize the strategy into multi-year growth and profit plans. Key areas of focus include customer specific innovation, joint business planning, and customer specific efficiency goals.
- Strategic Revenue Management Focus: Tight partnership with SRM team with a focus on driving ROI improvement across trade activities, staying within trade guardrails, as well as driving forward the customer's strategic trade investment journey
- Support Ad-Hoc Requests and Strategic Initiatives

You are...
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in CPG
- Experience directly in sales finance or other related corporate finance/strategic revenue management functions
- Bachelor's degree with strong quantitative focus including finance, economics, statistics, or other similar disciplines
- Experience and understanding of financial metrics and modeling
- Experience using database tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc) and ERPs (SAP, JDE, etc)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Pluses
- MBA with a focus on finance or related discipline
- Experience with trade management systems
- Experience and/or understanding of how a sales function operates
- Experience in revenue growth management, category management, FP&A and/or strategy

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
